Victoria razzle dazzles New York New York!

When someone mentions shiny thigh high boots it will often summon up images of strippers and ladies of the night, not the latest must have accessory for respectable women everywhere for autumn/winter 2009.

Number 1 fashionista and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham grabbed the limelight with a double whammy, wearing two different pairs of stunningly show stopping thigh highs over one weekend. Mrs B was spreading the news of her astute fashion sense by donning this season’s key style statement in New York - the town that doesn’t sleep.

Posh was at The Bergdorf Goodman Store for a New York fashion week event entitled ‘Fashion’s Night Out’ held by Vogue editor Anna Wintours. Posh couldn’t fail to turn heads in her daring ensemble. It seems she may have taken the events name more seriously than the other guests; she was pictured standing next to girl next door Sienna Miller who was just wearing jeans. Vicky B outshone all, even the Vogue hostess herself who only wore a simple t-shirt.

Never one to shy away from attention, Mrs Beckham’s head turning outfit was a blast from the past. She waved goodbye to her conservative signatory style for the weekend and instead embraced true WAG couture in an animal print corseted dress, and most importantly, shiny thigh high PVC boots.

Victoria’s prized possessions caused a storm of response; perfect considering the aspiring fashion designer was also in town to launch her fashion collection, as well as her signatory perfume.

Not content with wowing the crowds just once, later at her own perfume launch, Victoria showed she had another trick up her fashion forward sleeve. Pushing the style stakes even higher, she worked the red carpet in gravity defying £3,300 Antonio Berdardi heel-less thigh high’s! Mr Beckham was even called on for support, lovingly propping up his wife by the bottom. “Think she’s gunna need it,” a spokesman for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy said. ‘If (Mrs B) was to wear this sort of style for anything more than a short red carpet walk, she could suffer from foot pain, ankle pain, knee pain, spinal pain and neck pain on a permanent basis.’ But let’s face it, most women would put up with a little pain if they could have the scrumptiously delicious David Beckham walking down the red carpet (or even the isle) holding them up!
