On Tuesday, Cher stepped out looking like Captain Jack Sparrow, bundled up in a huge hat and scarf against the cold.
Now Britney Spears and Katy Perry have added to the collection of poorly turned out U.S. stars, who are clearly not as used to wrapping up warm (or stylishly, for that matter) on that side of the Atlantic.

With a grimace on her face, the 28-year-old singer stalked along Robertson Blvd, showing off a flash of unflattering white sock beneath her chunky high heels.
Meanwhile, Katy Perry stepped out for lunch at Chin Chin Grill in West Hollywood, dressed in a striped woolly hat, which clashed with her blue hoodie and grey tracksuit bottoms.
At one point the singer held her hand over her face as she tried to avoid being photographed in her scruffy ensemble.

Looking less like an international superstar and more like The Pirates of the Carribean's Jack Sparrow, the singer was unrecognisable as she bundled up against the cool climate on Tuesday.
The 63-year-old superstar left her Los Angeles home to go Christmas shopping dressed in fur-lined boots, a big parka coat and a thick multi-coloured scarf which she wrapped around her face.

She and a friend headed into Beverly Hills where they stopped at department store Barneys New York, where a pair of long black boots caught her attention.
In true celebrity style, she kept her dark black sunglasses on but ditched the big coat as she warmed up during her spending spree, showing off a trim figure in snug velour tracksuit bottoms and a tight hot pink vest top.
Still without her coat, she dashed out to her stretch limo but battled with her scarf as she tried to pull it back over her face again.
Cher then visited a day spa for some pampering before heading to LAX International Airport where she flew off to Las Vegas by private jet.
